White House Says "Operation Swarmer" in Iraq "Tactical"

The White House said on Thursday that Operation Swarmer, believed to be the biggest one since March 2003, is a tactical decision made by U.S. generals in Iraq.

"Our commanders in the theater have the authorization to make tactical decisions about the operations that they undertake," White House spokesman Scott McClellan told a news briefing.

"This operation is part of our ongoing efforts to help move forward on the security front," he said.

McClellan said that U.S. President George W. Bush was briefed on the operation. But he denied that Bush authorized the operation.
"This was not something that he needed to authorize," the spokesman said.

1. Bunch of lies by a Group of war criminals

An Iraqi looks at the bodies of girls killed during a US raid near the city of Balad, north of Baghdad, 15 March. Suddenly, subtly, the nature of the war in Iraq has changed, confronting the US military with the threat of a civil war and what may be its biggest test since the US-led invasion three years ago(AFP/Dia Hamid)

7. Bull-fuckin-shit.
A major offensive like this is not a tactical move. It's a strategic decision. It has immense potential consequences, and you don't do something like this without orders from the top. "Tactical" is like maybe deciding to attack from the right or left flank, in daylight or at night. Strategic is about major moves on the chessboard. Blowing up a town is a strategic move.

8. I agree ---- No way a General is doing this by himself
This shit was planned by Cheney and Rumsfeld for some time now

The CHIMPANZEE was not involved. He has been in a corner playing with his penis for the last couple of weeks anyway.

Bush's approval numbers

6. Just playing whack-a-mole. Sy Hersh reported last year: "no strategic art"
Air force officers were complaining that there's no strategic thinking at all in these sorties. Just Army guys calling in air strikes.

9. That's right
Everything that happens there is tactical because we have no strategy.

13. Unless the strategy all along has been simply to foment chaos,
I think one is forced to conclude that the Iraqi quagmire has resulted from one of two strategic flaws:

a) no strategy whatsoever

or

b) a failed strategy of using Iraq as a demonstration project for democracy in the Middle East (a sort of "reverse domino theory").

Spreading freedom is not a strategy, that is a goal (or strategic end).

"This was not something that he needed to authorize," the spokesman said.

That's right..he doesn't even have to authorize illegal and unconstitutional moves anymore..he's now appointed someone else to make the laws as they go along..
Stupid murderous effing lying baby killers!

Circulate these pics please..Show what Bush's America has done..Bush deserves NO praise nor poll number bump because of this latest military massacre on innocents.
His numbers should drop to single digits as Americans see the grief and horror of george's war-for-profit War.
Fuck him!

15. Wow tactical...snore...
are they sure it wasn't a strategic move?

IMO, this is a lame attempt by the BFEE. We all know these people micro-manage EVERYTHING. It's the reason America and Iraq (and soon to be Iran, maybe Syria) are being run into the ground.
