The Associated Press

SILVER SPRING, Md. Protests against the Iraq war will continue today with a planned demonstration outside the Pentagon.

1. will they be met by the police state?
will the police state move them by force, pick them up and arrest them?

The world is aflame in saying NO TO BUSH. NO TO THE BUSH AGENDA. NO TO WAR. and he keeps right on marching on, as if the world were saying nothing. He is like an impenetrable cliff fearful of the waters that beat upon him.

2. Of course.
If they are blocking the entrance or causing a public disturbance they will be arrested regardless of the cause they are protesting.

4. "causing a disturbance..." they surely won't be blocking any entrances
and neither was cindy sheehan at the UN when she was arrested, nor was she causing any disturbance at the WH when she was arrested--but, DISTURBANCE is now a code word for the BUSH people and an excuse and a pretext to arrest anyone for anything. that is why i will proudly wear my PEACE button when it arrives in the mail sometime soon, i hope.

8. yeah
you're right....not "official" war...it is an occupation
but in my mind when they are blowing up the place with bombs and bullets,
and children and families and soldiers are dying, it's a war....
but I know what you are saying.
They did the same thing during 'nam.
Undeclared war.
argh!

Peace!

7. Dozens jailed during anti-war protest at Pentagon
<snip> Fifty-one demonstrators been arrested when they crossed a five-foot-high temporary barrier. They wanted to deliver a mock coffin symbolic of US war dead to Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. <snip>

To the sounds of a muffled drum and a ceremonial peace bell, about 200 people marched from the Lincoln Memorial across the Potomac to the Pentagon. Dozens of demonstrators chanting "peace now" climbed over the fence. The Pentagon says they were arrested, given misdemeanor citations and released. <snip>
