Blagojevich wins nomination (Illinois primary results)
Overcoming accusations of corruption and mismanagement, Gov. Rod Blagojevich was nominated Tuesday to run for a second term.

...snip...

With 2,520 of 11,700 precincts counted in unofficial returns, Blagojevich had 68 percent to Eisendrath's 32 percent.

On the Republican side, with 2,517 of 11,700 precincts counted in unofficial returns, Judy Baar Topinka had 37 percent, Jim Oberweis had 32 percent and three others trailed badly.

In a closely watched congressional race, Barrington Hills businessman David McSweeney took an early lead in the 8th District GOP primary Tuesday, with Mundelein attorney Kathy Salvi trailing not far behind.

4. Judy Baar Tostinka
Says No to Seniors
No to help care for children
No to police officer and fire house
No to middle class working families.

What a great speaker Blagojevich is, who says he remebers what his family had to go through to provide something better for their children..speaking from the heart not from a throne. From the heart.

Blagojevich 2006!

He got stem cell research into the state. It's my only hope for a cure for parkinsons disease. I will sink every nickle I got into his campaign. How can you not love a guy who stands up against the wings nuts every chance he gets.

7. I am not sure.
I don't get out of the house much. Your best bet is to put up a query in the Illinois forum.

8. I've been keeping tabs from Missouri.
Glad Rod won it!

For the repukes, I was hoping Oberweis would have won it. I think he'd be A LOT easier to beat than Topinka. Rod's gonna have a VERY tough battle ahead if he has to face her.
