NKorea weapons 'could not hit US'

NKorea weapons 'could not hit US'

North Korea does not yet have an operational missile that could hit the continental US, a US report says.

But its weapons could target South Korea and Japan, and it is working on a longer-range solid-fuel missile.

Missile exports were a significant source of foreign exchange for the country, the report by the Center for Nonproliferation Studies also said.

Concerns over North Korea's weapons programme rose this month when it test-fired two short-range missiles.

1. And that is why the junta aren't working harder to settle things down
over there. They don't care of NK has missiles, really, as long as they can't hit us here on the continent. (Who needs Hawaii anyway?) x(

3. Hawaii is vitally important
They make ukuleles. It's bad enough that most banjos are now made in Korea.

2. It is unlikely North Korea would attack the U.S. anyway.
They fully understand that should they attack the U.S., especialy with nuclear or chemical weapons, they would be vaporized, regardless of who is the President of the U.S. Kim Jong Il may be crazy but he's not stupid. His primary goal is personal and regime survival. He would only use WMD if he thought he was about to be ousted from power or even captured. He almost certainly would not strike first because he knows he'd have about 25 minutes left to live after he launched the missiles.

4. The "smuggled in a suitcase" possibility disappears, when inconvenient.
When Bush wants to scare us shitless into an Iraq war, he doesn't waste time with the fact that neither Iraq nor Alqaeda had a missle capable of delivering a warhead. He talked about suitcases.

When Bush wants an excuse to not do anything about a NK that is actually threatending to kill us and actually does have nukes, well, there's no missiles that can hit anything except Hawaii. So fear not.

5. bush was told Iraq's "drones" (laff) could not hit the USA, could not
go beyond 300 miles, that Iraq had NO nukes, NEVER has had nukes.

But gee, that FACT didn't stop bush illegally waging his war of aggression against the people of Iraq.

And exactly as you point out, the "suitcase nuke" scenario seems to have disappeared.

We see this bullshit; the world sees this bullshit. How the fuck can half the people in America NOT see this bullshit??? It's just COMMON SENSE!

6. A test missile of theirs several years ago over shot the Sea of Japan
and broke up over Alaska. I am not so sure that they cannot hit the west coast now. I simply do not have confidence in the credibility or competence of the current administration and any of its assessments.

9. There are lots of U.S. troops in South Korea and Japan though
Who really knows who could hit what, anyway? I take it all with a grain of salt, claims and counterclaims.

11. Anyone that thinks a country with a dozen or even hundreds of nukes
.
.
.

would attack the United States of America which has THOUSANDS of nukes,

a proven delivery system

and a willingness to use them

is naive and misguided.

OH . . .

I think I just described the USA electorate!!

No apologies
