U.S. to Place Up to 3,000 Soldiers in Bulgaria, Ambassador Says

March 24 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. military will get access to three Bulgarian army bases for training and storage as part of an agreement between the two countries for closer defense ties, the Bulgarian government said today.

A final agreement will be signed during an April 27-28 visit by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, said Lyubomir Ivanov, Bulgaria's ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, at a press conference in Sofia.

4. Soldiers here deploy to Bulgaria all the time

and have done so for a while now

A soldier in our building got back from Bulgaria summer of last year.

It's just a safe bet that once it's published, it means it's already been happening.
