Angus Reid: Support for Iraq War Keeps Falling in U.S. (56% say bad move)
(Angus Reid Global Scan) – Many adults in the United States continue to question their government’s decision to launch the coalition effort, according to a poll by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. 56 per cent of respondents think going to war with Iraq was the wrong thing to do.

The number of Americans who express satisfaction with the decision to go to war in Iraq has fallen to 39 per cent, down two points since December.

...

57 per cent of respondents would either decrease the number of U.S. troops in Iraq or remove them altogether.

2. A lot of people supported the war.
One of the hardest things for a person to do is admit that they were wrong. For a lot of these people, in order to now come out against the war, they first must admit that it was a mistake to go to war in the first place and that they were wrong. It's that damn ego thing.

I say, come on people, everyone is wrong at some point! Just admit that you were conned, that you were foolish to support such an evil war, so that we can finally get it stopped. They've just got to swallow their pride a little, that's all. Unfortunately a lot of people stupidly believe that swallowing one's pride is unpatriotic. In my opinion, killing innocent children is far more unpatriotic than that.

3. 56% my butt. That was a faulty, slanted, poll if that's the numbers they
get. No one I talk to anymore is for this war. And believe me, anyone who was initially a war supporter but has changed their mind isn't entitled to any respect. They were just lazy stupid f**ks who didn't even bother to check out any of the information that proved, proved mind you, that bush** & Co. were liars. Like his "they won't let the inspectors do their jobs" when bush** publically announced that the inspectors had to leave because he was itching to get Shock and Awe going. Or the whole WMD spewage. Everyone knew, knew damn good and well, that the country had been suffering under ten years of sanctions. Sanctions that had decimated the population and that had deprived the Iraqi government of any and all plans to build up any kind of arsenel, nuclear or otherwise. And the biggest farce of all? Using the proven criminal liar Chalabi as a witness to support their claims. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Other countries released articles, we had Joe Wilson as a witness to the dishonesty. And there were many people who wrote about the OSP and the liars who were running it. And about all of Cheney's roadwork from the White House to the CIA trying to force them to say there was proof of an illegal nuclear program.

Oh shit, what's the use? You can say the same crap over and over and over, but the media will continue to lie and cover for these guys. But the are far more than slightly over half of the population who have turned against this war. I bet, TRUTH be told, the number is closer to 70 or 75%.
