BOSTON --Macy's department store has altered a window display marking Boston's gay pride week after a group that opposes gay marriage complained it was offensive.

The display at the downtown Boston store featured two male mannequins, with one wearing a gay pride rainbow flag around his waist, next to a list of several planned Boston Pride Week events.

The mannequins were removed after MassResistance, formerly the Article 8 Alliance, which has campaigned against gay marriage and gay-themed textbooks in public schools, objected to the display.

Okay, folks, I call on ALL of you to BOYCOTT MACY'S until they make proper amends for this. They knuckled under to the WORST of the Christian Right, and need to be made to understand that this is going to cost them a fortune.

One of the last places I'd expect to see that.

This is disgraceful.

Uh, this is a population of customers you are alienating...

But I also want to hear from Macy's LGBT employees, any message are they sending to their employer.

the tv screens in women's waiting area played FOXNEWS and *'s SS 'reform' videos to the exclusion of every other channel except ESPN. Despite my numerous complaints, management insisted they were 'informing' the public whereupon I closed my acct.

cause I was in there about a couple of weeks ago and in the men's area they had on CNN with Anderson Cooper.

i'm guessing a good number of dollars comes from the gay community to macys.

well, no money from me to them.

You'd think Macys would know whats going to happen. They're just pissing everyone off.

I expect an apology to the gays from them...something like, we had no idea how many people aren't biggots or smth.

Its Pride week. One flippin week. Give me a break.
