Strickland Has Twice the Campaign Cash Blackwell Does (other good info)

New numbers show Democrat Ted Strickland is sitting on twice the campaign cash as Kenneth Blackwell, his Republican opponent in the governor's race. Secretary of State Blackwell had to spend more than $1 million late in his primary fight against Jim Petro.

Ohio's race for governor is a journey through the looking glass. The Democrat, Rep. Ted Strickland, is a rural, pro-gun minister, which could make him appealing to some Republicans -- while the Republican, Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, is a black man who could draw votes from Democrats.

I'm sorry, but does anyone seriously think Blackwell would ever lose a political race, short of being hauled off to jail as he should be? Like MCM keeps telling us, Democrats could run Jesus, and he'd still lose

What does that mean? If the author means that Democrats will vote for Blackwell because he's black, I find that appallingly stupid. No Ohio democrat worth the name will vote for Blackwell after the fiascos of 2004. Yet another example of the media trying to act "balanced" by just making stuff up.

what he did in '04. To know you have to have read several articles form multiple newspapers.

Some African Americans will vote for Blackwell as a vote against gays.
