Stephen Hawking warns about global warming
BEIJING - Stephen Hawking expressed concern about global warming Wednesday even as he charmed and provoked a group of Chinese students.

Before an audience of 500 at a seminar in Beijing, the celebrity cosmologist said, "I like Chinese culture, Chinese food and above all Chinese women. They are beautiful."

The audience of mostly university students and professors and a smattering of journalists laughed and applauded.

Asked about the environment, Hawking, who suffers from a degenerative disease, uses a wheelchair and speaks through a computerized voice synthesizer, said he was "very worried about global warming."

3. The absolute irony of the thing
Look who gets to walk around and command the press' attention and who gets to be trapped in a wheelchair with a crippling disease?

Proof positive that there is no god, IMO.

In the meantime, Gee Dubya can't even get past a simple door.

10. That picture says it all, doesn't it?
You don't even have to photoshop most of his pictures. The stupid is right there on the surface, for all to see.

5. This guy is absolutely amazing...
...even as his body degenerates, his mind appears to be getting sharper and sharper. Let's see Michael Crighten says
global warming is a farce. Hawking says he's worried about it. I'm going with Hawking on this one.

11. So, who are you going to believe? Stephen Hawking or crazy
right-wing wacko faith based scientist from Alabama - John Christy is professor of atmospheric science and the director of the Earth Systems Science Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and he says there's no imminent threat of catastrophic global warming.
