Al-Qaeda video part of 'propaganda war'

THE White House said overnight that a new videotape of Al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri is the terrorist network's latest shot in its effort to win a "propaganda war."

"This tape reminds us that Zawahiri and the Al-Qaeda leadership continue to wage a propaganda war and attempt to spread a corrupt ideology of violence and hatred," said a White House official, who requested anonymity because she is not allowed to speak for attribution.

"We expect further threats and acts of violence by the enemies of freedom, and there is still hard work ahead in the global war on terror," she said.

The official said that "the terrorists' ideology is countered by the advance of freedom" and that Iraq's new government was committed to freedom and prosperity for all Iraqis.

1. Al-Qaeda is a terrorist organization whose sole mission is to murder innocent civilians for the glory of their GAWD.

10. Actually, what this tape shows us
is that Zawahiri is still alive and well, has access to some pretty nice video equipment and doesn't seemed to be very concerned with getting caught.

Way to go Bush. I thought he was going to catch these guys dead or alive?
