Harris’ ‘Poll’: U.S. Rep. says Democrats want her to beat Nelson
Its been far too long since we checked in on how our favorite Republican Senate candidate is doing...

EAST PALATKA -- U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris said she is getting support in strange places in her fall bid for the U.S. Senate.

Harris, the Republican who represents Florida’s 13th District, spoke at a Lincoln Day dinner held by the Putnam County Republican Executive Committee on Saturday night, saying House Democrats have told her they want her to beat incumbent Democrat Sen. Bill Nelson in their race for the U.S. Senate this November.

“I’ve had Democrats in the House of Representatives come to me and say ‘You know, we’d really like to take the majority in the U.S. Senate’ — these are Florida Democrats in the U.S. Congress — ‘but you’ll do so much more for us if you’re there. We hope you win,’” Harris told a crowd gathered at the Putnam County Shrine Club.

4. Oh bullshit, Harris. Surely you don't expect anyone to believe that
crock of crap.

You are a Republican whore who manipulated the 2000 vote for your buddy GWB. You have done nothing good for America, you have only contributed to the corruption and the problems this country faces today.

You are about to be tossed into the gutter like the tramp that you are, a used concubine that no longer serves the needs of the GOP.

Enjoy your future, you've earned it. Bitch.

7. In a related story...
A spokescreature for Faux News reported that Keith Olbermann said he hoped Bill O'Reilly's ratings go back up.
Also, God wished Lucifer the best of luck in his next attempt to claim the Throne.

8. I don't think Nelson is the favorite Democrat of many at DU
But it stretches credulity to think that any Democrat wants one of the principal villains of the 2000 coup to be promoted to the US Senate.

And there's no sense of talking about "Zell Miller Dems". Zell was unique, fortunately.

32. Correktomundo.
Bill is mostly a disappointment (and I've told him so as he is my senator and therefore deserves to know my opinion), but I wouldn't ever touch that skanky thing, let alone vote for her.

19. She might, but the GOP won't....
Her district is 49% registered Republican and 39% registered Democrat. It is a reletively safe GOP seat.

17. HAW! HAW! HAW!
Thanks, I needed a laugh this morning.

As much as I'd love to see Nelson dumped on his ass and forced to go back to probating wills in some hellhole in Florida, there is no way I'd want to see him replaced by HARRIS, of all people!

I can't imagine any sane Democrat would.

I think Harris has surrounded herself with the kind of staff her Fearless Leader has, sycophants who daily try to come up with new and better fictions to inflate that already colossal ego so that they will be even more amply rewarded.

I don't think she's smart enough to come up with this howler on her own.

"Let me tell you what the truth is. I’m staying. I’m in this race. I’m going to win. And let me tell you how. I’m going to put EVERYTHING on the line. Everything, not just my future and my reputation, my father’s name. I’m gonna take his legacy… Everything that I have and I’m gonna put it in this race. I’m going to commit my legacy from my father, $10 million… This is everything that I have.”

Now I'm seriously worried about that pathetic lady. She is now detached from reality to such an extreme that it is a little bit scary.

29. DAMMIT! Every damn day I sit here and I'm supposed to be
minding my own business, working away (eating lunch in this case but most assuredly not supposed to be on DU), and somebody here posts something that makes me start laughing like a fool.

Thank goodness there's no one close to me all the time.

31. That is my local paper
Thanks for posting it, for some reason I couldn't access it yesterday or today. When I saw the article yesterday, I practically choked on my coffee. I would love some of the stuff that she is smoking these days. Imagine to be that out of touch with reality.

They kept it quiet about her coming her this time, I didn't see no announcement about it. Last time I went and had breakfast with her and it took all I had not to punch her right in the face when they sat her next to me. Hardly anyone showed up at the breakfast.

35. I wouldn't doubt the quote... And here's why...
It's probably Harris not getting the slap in her face.

It's like a Republican saying, "We'd really hate to lose the White House, but if we do, Hillary Clinton winning would be the best thing for us!"
