Children die, miscarriages increase as U.S. troops lay siege to city
Azzaman, December 12, 2006

At least eight children have died and seven women have had miscarriages in the town of al-Sinya which invading U.S. troops have put under siege for more than 50 days.

Sinya is close to Baiji, one of the scores of anti-U.S. strongholds in the country.

The town’s nearly 50,000 inhabitants are now without running water and food supplies are running dangerously low.
...

The siege is fuelling anger among the inhabitants of the Province of Saladdeen and in Tikreet, the provincial capital, there have been several demonstrations denouncing U.S. troops.

1. Thank god we're winning their hearts and minds, at least.
This war is just the best thing ever!

3. Ok, so apparently
Chimp thinks that killing innocent children, and causing spontaneous abortions, are the way to achieve whatever version of "victory" his diseased brain imagines? How is punishing a whole city by denying them food and water going to make Iraq stable, and able to protect and govern itself? I believe he spits out nonsense like that when he tries to explain what he means by winning victory.

He's an absolute moron, but a dangerous one. I see no option but having investigations that lead to impeachment, if we can't get it done right away. He's not fit to serve in any capacity anywhere which lets him have even an iota of power. I think that among the very few who still are deluded enough to support him are numbered among the ones who call themselves "pro-lifers." Unless you're brown, or happen to be living in a country which has oil.

6. No running water? No food?
Sounds like post-Katrina New Orleans to me.

I'm unfamiliar with this news source but thought some of the opinion pieces were interesting. Here's a quote from the editorial "President Bush wants nothing less than victory in Iraq; but over whom?" ....

"In Iraq the U.S. has no specific enemy to fight. Iraqis are fighting each other. Iraqis are fighting the U.S. The U.S. is fighting everybody."

Doesn't that sum it up? What a pukestorm we've created.
