Here's what Dr Dean wrote in June 05-
In our efforts to build a 50-State Democratic Party, we have chosen Nebraska to be one of the first eight states to receive new staff and resources to help build a stronger, more organized Nebraska Democratic Party.
For us to build an organization in every precinct in Nebraska, we must provide our activists and candidates with the best possible training available.
This weekend, the Nebraska Democratic Party will be hosting the first annual "Camp Connealy" in Omaha, a grassroots campaign training camp that is named in honor of one the most dedicated Party building Democrats in Nebraska, State Senator Matt Connealy. You can register for Camp Connealy here:

http://www.nebraskademocrats.org This new website allows you to plan your own grassroots activities, disseminate important issue points to your friends and family, and build your own online community through their new blog: Blog for Nebraska
http://www.nebraskademocrats.org/blogWe all know that a lot of work needs to be done before November 2006 - but working together, we are presented with the opportunity to make significant gains by electing Democrats to every level of government -- from school boards to the 20 open seats in the Nebraska Unicameral, to U.S. Senate and Governor.
I encourage you to take the time to check out nebraskademocrats.org and sign-up for the Camp Connealy political training. Many of the nation's most well-respected trainers and consultants will be there to prepare you for the battle ahead.
Nebraska Democrats need you to help build our Party from the bottom-up. Will you accept the challenge?
Sincerely,
Governor Howard Dean, M.D.
Chairman, Democratic Party
