Conyers 'Personally Offended' by 'Lackluster Apology' by Fox 'News'
Says No Personal Apology Made to Him, On-Air Apology Failed to Detail Original Report Mistaking Conyers for Indicted Rep. Jefferson

'Fox Has History of Inappropriate On-Ar Mistakes That Are Neither Fair, Nor Balanced', Says Senior Congressman...

Conyers responds to Fox "News" having shown him instead of now-indicted Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) during their "breaking news" report yesterday, and FNC's pathetic "apology" today for the "error".

His statement, sent to The BRAD BLOG moments ago, along with both the original video and the FNC "apology" linked below...

1. This kind of thing has happened SO much on Faux that it's not an "error"
IMHO, or at least they aren't adequately stressing accuracy to their chyron operators. I think they take a much more lax view of accuracy when it comes to the Dems -- if they get it wrong (and/or if it works to the Thugs' advantage), who cares?

9. Of course it's not an error
They're just pushing the envelope- like any corporation (or any child) will do when they're never held accountable.

Bottom line is that until the corporate media is divested and re-regulated, this is only going to keep getting worse and worse.

3. Isn't the Fox Dem debate co-sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus?
It's a little transparent, I should think.

Fox doesn't want to show the Democratic debate now that everyone has dropped out, so they do something explicitly designed to rub the CBC's face in it. The CBC drops the debate on principle, and Fox gets to avoid the embarrassment of being shown up for partisan douchebags, and having only three folks show up to your party...

4. These are some of the dirtiest...
this is why the Dems have to stand up, they have plans set for each candidate and the lies and half-truths already waiting to be launched they are on this site and others baiting people, and setting up the lies,. If the Dems don't realize how desperate, and craZy these people are they need to look at the past and see what these people have done and will do...

Right before commercial. That'll suffice.
