1,000 join search for missing Ohio woman
Source: Associated Press

UNIONTOWN, Ohio - More than 1,000 volunteers spread out Thursday in a search of rural areas around the home of a missing woman who was 9 months pregnant when she disappeared.

"I think every single rock will be turned over on this search," said organizer Tim Miller, who runs the internationally active search team Texas EquuSearch.

Miller had expected about 200 volunteers Thursday and said he was a bit overwhelmed by the turnout. His team also brought in sonar equipment to check ponds and a remote-control airplane equipped with a camera to look for any sign of the missing woman, Jessie Davis.

Davis' younger sister, Whitney Davis, who wore a T-shirt with her sister's picture and the word "Missing" in red letters.

I read the articles trying very hard to keep an open mind and not assume it was the babys father but by the end of it, he looks pretty dang suspicious.

1. A bit more on Bobby Cuts from his Ex
http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_272614187.shtml

"Giavasis told Fox that Cutts once kicked down her door when he broke into her house after their relationship ended because he was upset that she was dating someone new. She had taken several restraining orders out against him, she said, including one in 2007. He also hit and verbally abused their daughter, who no longer sees him.

***

"He was very volatile during the relationship," Giavasis told Fox News. "He threatened to steal my daughter continuously ... He frightened me horrifically, my daughter, my family. It's been an ongoing ordeal since meeting him." She added that Cutts is manipulative and has been convicted of perjury several times. She believes"

2. Already fingering him for the job. FOX as usual.
Why aren't they looking at new baby girls that some woman just had out of the blue?

"Baby? What baby, I just thought she was overweight, and she still is."

4. I was thinking it would be terrible to automatically blame the dad,
but the more I looked at the original report - the police searching his place twice and bringing out boxes of evidence, the quilt being missing at the womans house etc, it looks like he did it.

I admit its just plain wrong to assume its the husband or the father of the baby everytime a pregnant woman disappears.

This guy does look like a problem though.

3. ... and a bitter ex-gf should be considered an 'expert' , why?
If he left me and my kid for another woman(en) I'd probably claim he was an asshole too.

5. If she has the restraining orders I do believe that says something.

Do you have lots of restraining orders against you that YOU don't think mean anything?

6. "she had taken out restraining orders, SHE SAID"
Edited on Thu Jun-21-07 01:44 PM by hippiechick
... I used to work at a domestic abuse shelter and any of a number of habitual and disturbed women would cycle through demanding that we throw so-and-so in jail because "he ain't no good" etc etc ...

I'll wait until such paperwork is produced & verified, thanks.

11. Yes, but did the courts grant those restraining orders?
And what were those women doing in domestic violence shelters anyway?

10. The courts issued multiple restraining orders against him. The judges
at those hearings must have believed he posed a danger to the woman.

9. Apparently he has a very checkered past
regarding his relationships with women. Documented violence.

Scary this guy is a cop.

12. Having worked at 3 police departments, I can say in my area
cops with domestic violence issues are common. We had a police chief in my state shoot and kill his wife, then himself after years of abuse issues.

13. Yes, it's not that uncommon. I've heard about other cops with
domestic violence issues.
