Alan Berg

Alan Berg (January, 1934 – June 18, 1984), was a Denver-based, Jewish liberal radio talk show host and former attorney.

On June 18, 1984, Alan Berg was shot thirteen times in the driveway of his home next to his Volkswagen Beetle. While no one was ever convicted of Berg's murder, a group called The Order, a white nationalist organization spawned by George Lincoln Rockwell's American Nazi Party, was suspected of being behind it. Ultimately, several members of The Order, most notably the getaway driver, David Lane, were convicted of conspiracy, as well as violations of Berg's civil rights and the RICO statutes. Lane was sentenced to a 190-year consecutive life sentence and died in prison on 28 May 2007.
During the trial, it was revealed that after receiving death threats from The Order, Berg (a gun control proponent) unsuccessfully applied for a handgun permit with Denver Police Chief Ari Zavaras less than a year before his death. <1>
When asked about the assassination, David Lane denied any involvement in Berg's death, but has repeatedly expressed no sorrow over it: "The only thing I have to say about Alan Berg is: regardless of who did it, he has not mouthed his hate whitey propaganda from his 50,000-watt Zionist pulpit for quite a few years."
Actor/writer/director Eric Bogosian adapted the story of Alan Berg's death into a play, which was later adapted into the Oliver Stone-directed 1988 film, Talk Radio. Berg's murder is the basis for Steven Dietz's 1988 play, God's Country, as well as the 1988 film, Betrayed.
His assassination was notably similar to a scene described in the racist novel The Turner Diaries written by white supremacist leader William Luther Pierce under the pseudonym Andrew MacDonald, and first published in 1978, 6 years before Berg's murder. In the book, an unnamed Jewish radio talk show host is shot to death as he steps from his car in his own driveway.

Stephanie Miller Threatened With Death After Defending Cindy Sheehan On Hannity & Colmes
Reported by Ellen - October 30, 2006 - 66 comments
An unhinged viewer of Hannity & Colmes sent a death threat to Stephanie Miller because of her “top dog” appearance on October 13. Brad Blog has the complete letter from “Sock” Sokolowski, which begins “As with Cindy Sheehan, the best thing that could happen to you would be some WONDERFUL activist sticking an AK-47 up your Glory Holes and sending you into eternity.” Miller confronted Sock Sokolowski on her show this morning. Her blog has the audio. The video of the appearance that sent Sock over the edge is after the jump.

A few days ago, info arose about Bill O'Reilly claiming to be on an al Qaeda "hitlist" along w/ Fox News. As lovely as it might be to entertain the thought of Bill O being in an orange jumpsuit w/ a group of masked men standing behind him ready to behead him at any second, the claim was proven to be absolutely 100% false. I guess Bill O's pompous self bloat got in the way of the truth, huh? But then on Weds' Countdown, Keith divulged the awful secrets behind an anthrax hoax in the mail he had to endure at his own home! Why did he divulge the info? B/c the NY Post had already broken the story. What did the NY Post do? Blew it off, made fun of Keith by feminizing him, and completely disobeyed FBI orders to NOT print the info, and went ahead and printed it. Now who among us would NOT be scared shitless to receive a threatening letter (w/ an unknown powder) in our home that stated that the letter and contents were revenge for daring to say what you've been saying on air about Pres Bush after the post 9/11 anthrax scares? I'm sure after Weds' broadcast, Keith might just receive even more scary mail. Keith provides a fierce bitchslapping to the bogus Lying Condi claim that Clinton left BushCo no counterterrorism tools in place and that BushCo did everything to prevent 9/11 and that Clinton did nothing. (For more info on a "Bush did nothing to prevent 9/11 timeline", check this out and for a '99 Wash Post article that praises all of the focus Clinton put on bin Laden, check this out.) If I were Keith, I'd invest in a SERIOUS security system for my home, consider putting in a panic room, and hire a big, beefy, and burly bodyguard.
