Bush on Iraq: 'We're kicking ass'
Source: CNN.com

When President Bush made a surprise visit to Iraq last weekend, he made clear he was pleased with what he saw.

"The security situation is changing," Bush told reporters during the visit. "There's more work to be done. But reconciliation is taking place."

"We're kicking ass," Bush said to Vaile Tuesday, according the Herald, after the deputy prime minister inquired about his trip to Iraq.

On Thursday, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino would not confirm or deny the reported comment.

4. I cannot believe how Bush can take credit for something
that was not a result of anything we did. It was the Iraqis that have made some headway by kicking out non Sunnis. The Kurds have achieved results by doing the same thing. Same for the Shiites in Baghdad. It's called ethnic cleansing.

12. He's real brave with other people's lives, isn't he?
Hard to believe that when it was time for him to put his own nuts on the line, he ran off to Alabama. And the time after that to Louisiana. And the time after that to Nebraska. None of them real hotbeds of terrorist activity, huh?

5. That's up there with "Bring 'em on" and "Wanted - dead or alive" and
"Mission accomplished", and "Winning hearts and minds", well, OK maybe that's the exact opposite of winning hearts and minds - the very thing he claimed we'd be doing in Iraq.

7. Dana Perino would not cofirm or deny whether the sky was up or down.
She is pathetic, irritating and too obviously lying every time she opens her mouth to provide a nonanswer.

15. sometimes I miss Ari Fleischer
He was really an amazing liar, he could weave fantastic tapestries of pure bullshit that left the press pondering deep existential questions, while ignoring the simple obvious stuff.

McClellan had nothing on him. McClellan was a bumbler, whose whimpering apologetics and "I'll have to get back to you on that" were deeply unsatisfying on every level. Dana appears to be cut from his mold.

Tony Snow was more professional, to be sure, but also a vicious partisan hatchetman in everything he did, and completely incapable of selling any illusion of comradery, let alone bipartisanship.

After going through 4 press secs in the last 7 years, despite how I loathed him at the time, in retrospect I think W had it pretty good with Ari.

9. And this will get less airtime
than the Miss Teenage America contestant who gave that nonsense answer to the map question. What's worse, a 17 year old having a meltdown during the most stressful moment of her life, or the POTUS blabbing like an idiot, again?

Never mind, I think I can answer that one.

11. Another famous "quote" which will be added to the pile.

There are dozens of web sites which keep track of his idiotic saying, his mex-matched quotes and collided aphorisms. I read a few of his quotes, and I couldn't believe it.

"We're kicking ass"
Or how about
"We're getting our asses kicked"
or
"I'm an ass"

14. A fascist kicking dead soldier's ass
Well, I guess Herr George Bush couldn't care less if he insults
each and every American family who have lost their loved one in
this illegal and neofascist war against the Iraqis.

He has no shred of decency.

16. As long as it's someone else doing the ass kicking
He didn't seem real anxious to "kick ass" in Vietnam, did he? I bet the coke and alcohol sure kicked ass though.
