US military: 3 US soldiers killed, 5 wounded by bombs

BAGHDAD

Three American soldiers were killed and five were
wounded in two separate roadside bomb attacks
Friday, the military said.

Two Multi-National Division - Baghdad soldiers were
killed and two others were wounded when an
improvised explosive device detonated during
operations in the southeastern section of the Iraqi
capital.

In a separate attack, a Multi-National Corps - Iraq
soldier was killed and three were wounded when an
improvised explosive device was detonated near
their vehicle in the Salahuddin province, north of
Baghdad, the military said.

Seaman Apprentice Shayna Ann Schnell, 19, of Tell City, Ind., died as a result of injuries
suffered from a vehicle accident. Schnell was serving as a master-at-arms assigned to Naval
Security Force Bahrain, Jebel Ali Detachment, United Arab Emirates.
