In Congress, GOP morale down since CHIP veto
Source: New York Times

WASHINGTON — Members of the White House communications team invited their Capitol Hill counterparts down to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. the other day to see how Republican morale was holding up in Congress.

The answer: Not so well.

Under fierce attack on children's health insurance, congressional Republicans are feeling a bit under siege.

"We are not happy, no doubt about it," said one of the senior Republican congressional aides who attended the Oct. 5 meeting at the White House and would talk about the internal session only without being identified.

Republicans say they have lacked a cohesive plan to counter the Democratic assault over the children's health insurance program that will be the subject of a veto override vote in the House on Thursday.

4. Democrats still need twelve votes to overcome veto
I doubt they will find them without compromising their bill. Instead of 39 billion they may settle on twenty billion and leave out several millin children, just to say they won something...

5. Morale is down? Nothing voting themselves another pay raise won't fix.
given the stratospheric approval ratings they are currently enjoying. Oh wait.

About time they get their heads out of their asses and THINK before they vote. Damn. Can they possibly be this stupid?

People want representation, not dictators telling them what to believe.

The country is waking up and these people are crying that their lording-over-the-sheeple methodology isn't working any longer? Poor babies. Low morale is a bad thing to have to deal with.

Maybe they can all just vote themselves a nice big old pay raise so that they can feel better about life again.

:sarcasm:

reelected, yet so many Republick chumps march in lock-step with Bushdick. Oh well, the whiney enablers get no sympathy from me. I hope every last one of them gets their ass handed to them by a Democrat.
