World powers to discuss Iran sanctions
Source: LONDON (Reuters)

LONDON (Reuters) - The five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany will discuss imposing a third round of sanctions on Iran because of its nuclear program on Friday. -snip-

Iran has refused to stop enriching uranium and the West fears it is bent on producing atomic bombs, which Tehran denies. -snip-

The United States imposed economic sanctions last week and has not ruled out military action against Iran. Russia believes dialogue rather than more punishment is the way forward while China reacted to the American move by saying it was opposed to imposing sanctions "too rashly." -snip-

Iran says its program is peaceful and aimed at generating electricity so that it can export more oil and gas. -snip-

This is total madness. WW3's coming quicker then even I wanted to imagine. But it's coming. And soon we will hear these words again from Bush .... "United Nations Security Council has not lived up to its responsibilities, so we will rise to ours," ..... he said that in the lead up to the Iraq invasion here ..... http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/03/17/sprj.irq.bush.speech/index.html

It's been in the works for quite some time. This shit sucks. Then there is this .....

"In 1975, as secretary of state, Kissinger signed and circulated National Security Decision Memorandum 292, titled "U.S.-Iran Nuclear Cooperation," which laid out the administration's negotiating strategy for the sale of nuclear energy equipment projected to bring U.S. corporations more than $6 billion in revenue. At the time, Iran was pumping as much as 6 million barrels of oil a day, compared with an average of about 4 million barrels daily today.

The shah, who referred to oil as "noble fuel," said it was too valuable to waste on daily energy needs. The Ford strategy paper said the "introduction of nuclear power will both provide for the growing needs of Iran's economy and free remaining oil reserves for export or conversion to petrochemicals." -snip-

Anyone who has been paying attention knows this about oil, gas reserves, $$$$$$$$ and again this shit sucks. Peace.
