Baghdad, Nov 29, (VOI) - The U.S. army said on Thursday that one soldier was killed by small-arms fire in western Baghdad.

"Small-arms fire killed one Multi-National Division - Baghdad soldier in a western section of the Iraqi capital on Nov. 28," said a U.S. army statement received by the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).

The death bring the number of the U.S. troops killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003 to 3,878, according to statistics released by the U.S. army.

Of this number, 33 U.S. soldiers have been killed so far in November 2007.
38 servicemen were killed last October.
