1. Thank God! I was afraid he was going to have to cut back and
economize.

3. I think that kind of salary is obscene
but it doesn't bother me in a private company like that, where people don't have to buy Disney stuff.

What really bothers me is the outrageous salaries of the CEO's of the health care companies, and the big pharma. We really need to get the profit out of health care.

4. If I ever discovered the cure for cancer...
it would be a safe bet to say I am going to profit from it immensely. Sorry, but pharma companies are just as private as Disney or Motorola.

5. Laws don't mandate purchases from Disney or Motorola

And people don't die if they don't buy Disney or Motorola products.

7. sure, I would love to make that salary
but really is any CEO worth THAT much money?

Main Entry: ob·scene
Function: adjective
Pronunciation: äb-'sen, &b-
Etymology: Middle French, from Latin obscenus, obscaenus
1 : disgusting to the senses : REPULSIVE
2 a : abhorrent to morality or virtue ; specifically : designed to incite to lust or depravity b : containing or being language regarded as taboo in polite usage <obscene lyrics> c : repulsive by reason of crass disregard of moral or ethical principles <an obscene misuse of power> d : so excessive as to be offensive <obscene wealth> <obscene waste>
synonym see COARSE
- ob·scene·ly adverb

And as I feel like I've been insulted, I am enclosing a copy of the dictionaries definition- and yes, I think that it qualifies as obscene.

It would seem more prudent to me to give a little bit of that back to the shareholders.
