SANA'A, Jan. 11 (Saba)- Most of Yemeni detainees in Guantanamo Bay did not commit any crimes, the American lawyer and head of US Reprieve organization Clive Smith has said.
"I apologize as an American for Yemeni people for the horrible acts against Yemeni detainees in Guantanamo," he added.
In an interview with 26September weekly, Smith said: "We, as lawyers, want to offer legal assistance to reduce suffering of these people and help the Yemeni society and government to resolve their cases and insure their coming back to their homeland."
He called on Yemeni government and the civil society organizations as well as American and European lawyers to return these people back to their homeland ...
