Giuliani seeks prayers

MIAMI, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani kicked off a three-day campaign swing through Florida Sunday by asking churchgoers for their prayers.

"I'm not coming here to ask for your vote ... I'm asking you for your prayers," the former New York mayor told a crowd of about 7,000 at a Hispanic evangelical church outside Miami, The Palm Beach Post reported.

Speaking in English with a Spanish translator at El Rey Jesus Church, Giuliani told congregants to "fear not, be strong and of good courage."

"That is the way to provide real leadership. That's what I've strived to do all my life," he said.

He is one of the most morally bankrupt people I have ever seen. I can't even being to imagine wasting a prayer on him. ( If i were inclined to prayer to begin with.)

"Pray that nothing more surfaces about Bernie Kerik, or about how city funds were diverted so I could carry on an affair while Mayor of NYC. Pray that people don't learn about how the firefighters in NY hate me, or how their radios didn't work on 9/ll." Yes, there is a lot for people to pray for.

is the creepy uncle at every Italian wedding. I can say this because being Italian American and having gone to my share of Italian weddings I know it when I see it.

Giuliani reminds me of KillFace from Frisky Dingo. Every time another issue is brought up, he goes back to his one thing ... 9/11.

As for Giuliani, he also said in his televised interview today that he has enough money ``to get our message out,'' minimizing the significance of a decision this week by about a dozen of his top aides to work without pay. ``That was a very generous gesture on the part of that group of people,'' he said. ``It really isn't necessary.''

Wouldn't their work constitute a contribution to the campaign and be subject to the limit for individual contributions to a campaign?
