Danny Glover Convicted Of Tresspassing
Source: ap

Niagara Falls, ONT

Glover, who wasn't in court, was convicted Thursday along with UNITE HERE union representative Alex Dagg and Ontario Federation of Labour President Wayne Samuelson.

Canadian Niagara Hotels charged the three with trespassing at their Sheraton on the Falls property during a Sept. 16, 2006, protest.

The 60-year-old actor took part in the protest as part of a larger campaign that aims to increase salaries and improve working conditions for hotel workers in the U.S. and Canada.

1. K & R!

Mr. Glover has been a long time activist on the right side of issues important to OUR party. I wish we had more like him.

15. Glover was campaigning with Edwards in SC a couple of days ago.
Edwards "Like a Rock Star" In Spartanburg

(CBS)
From CBS News' Aaron Lewis:

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- John Edwards popped by the Beacon Drive-In Restaurant where he was greeted by patrons and middle school students who took a field trip to see a real live presidential candidate in person.

Joined by actors Danny Glover and Madeleine Stowe, Edwards asked the crowd to vote for him and to get their friends out to the polls, too.

"Don't just call your Democratic friends," said Edwards. "If they didn't vote in the (Republican) primary last Saturday, they can vote this Saturday. And we want everybody that can go to the polls who hasn't voted to turn out on Saturday."

Edwards popped back into the kitchen and shook hands with cooks before rolling through the gauntlet of adolescent autograph seekers on his way back to the bus.

Commented one reporter, "You're like a rock star here."

He turned with a sly grin on his face and replied, "Just here?"

9. I wonder.
I wonder how he felt being teamed up with Mel Gibson so many times. I hope it was way more awful for MG than it was for him!
