BAQUBA, Iraq (AFP) - Iraqi police said they found the remains of 19 executed men in the volatile province of Diyala on Tuesday, including 10 heads removed from their bodies.

The gruesome discovery was made near the town of Moqdadiyah, northeast of Baghdad, provincial police official Lieutenant-Colonel Ismael al-Juburi said, adding that all the victims had been killed in the past few days.

Nine of the victims whose bodies were found intact had been shot dead, according to the head of the hospital morgue in Diyala's provincial capital Baquba, Ahmed Fuad.

1. Yeah, the surge is just working out so well. True American
deaths have dropped. But I don't think that the Iraqi people are really happy about that considering this is the fault of our government and our military.

3. Severed Heads And Bodies Found In Iraq Field: Police
Source: Reuters

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Police found nine bodies and 10 severed heads in an abandoned field north of Baghdad on Tuesday, in a region where U.S. and Iraqi forces were pressing ahead with offensives against al Qaeda forces.

In the northern city of Mosul, a suicide car bomber killed one civilian and wounded 15 others in an attack on a U.S. convoy, U.S. and Iraqi security officials said.

The U.S. military said none of its soldiers were wounded in the latest attack in Mosul, where extra Iraqi troops and police have been sent for what Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has called a "decisive" final push against al Qaeda.

But Major-General Mark Hertling, commander of U.S. troops in northern Iraq, cautioned against such descriptions of the fight against al Qaeda, saying the Sunni Islamist militants could easily regroup elsewhere as they had done in the past.

"I'm just not confident enough to say this is the final push against AQI (al Qaeda in Iraq) ... in Mosul," Hertling said.

5. As predicted, US has bunkered up & let chaos rule in the cities.
As long as the oil is secure, it's mission accomplished.

The Bush cabal is keeping troops on-base to reduce casualties for PR purposes, but chaos and misery reign in the streets.

The US has failed to live up to its obligations as an occupying force under international law. We have secured the natural resources but allowed law and order to disintegrate.
