Lieberman rules out running with McCain
Source: abc

Senator Joe Lieberman says he's "been there" and "done that" and will not be running again for vice-president.

Since Lieberman's endorsement of John McCain last month, speculation has persisted that he might join the ticket if McCain wins the GOP nomination.

The Connecticut independent ran on the Democratic ticket with Al Gore in 2000. He says if asked to run again, he would tell McCain no thanks, that McCain could find "much better."

Lieberman plans to be back on the road for McCain as the February 5th contests near.

1. Well...4 more years anyway. I don't see CT re-electing that AIPAC-shill of a gas bag.

10. He'd said a *lot* of things...
...done none of them, and still kept getting reelected.

What will it take, Connecticut?

8. Another lie from LIEberman
Every word that comes out of that deceitful dork's mouth is a lie. Even when LIEberman farts and belches, he lies. He craves power. Mark my words, he'll utter that high bullshit about "the greater good" and take the VP nod with Mc Pain.

If we boot him now, Dick Cheney is the tiebreaker in the senate. Let's boot him after we pick up seats.

17. I can't wait for the new Senate in 2009
We should have a comfortable margin then. I think it will be fabulous when Lieberman loses his assignments and is relegated to non-entity status as an independent. Of course, he'll switch to the GOP then mumbling something about how the Dems left him blah blah. He has one more year of influence. That's it.

Now, if Reid doesn't kick his sorry ass to the curb there will be screams heard all over this nation.

19. Jan '09.
Lieberman gets stripped of all his committee assignment and is reassigned to the Subcommittee of Dross and his office is moved to the basement because the new Democratic Congress needs his space for a conference room.

20. McCain/Lieberman...
...was always just a wet dream of the MSM, that, for some reason, kept the rumor alive.

Both have been unequivocal that it is not going to happen.

21. Hey, how about McCain/Nader!!!
It would keep Nader out the race as his own ticket. And I strongly suspect that Nader will give it a shot.

We all know what that means.
