ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Federal prosecutors have asked a judge for another three-month delay in scheduling a sentencing date for Bill Allen and Rick Smith, the former VECO Corp. executives who pled guilty in the public corruption probe.

Allen and Smith assisted the FBI and the Justice Department in the prosecutions of former lawmakers Pete Kott, who is in federal prison, and Vic Kohring, who is scheduled to be sentenced a week from Thursday.

In a status report filed with U.S. district court, prosecutors say Allen and Smith are still cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

1. Uncle turd has been getting hammered from all sides lately.
I guess he wants a few days to go by without his name in the media next to the word corruption.

2. Delay because they are still cooperating?
More likely, they are cooperating by agreeing not to say anything. The Republican DOJ obviously can't have Ted indicted before the next election. It's so friggen apparent how politicized this DOJ is. Dismantling the LA USAG Office of corruption (can't have Jerry Lewis indicted, can we?). Today, the head of the federal DOJ corruption unit resigns - think that's not to retard any potential Republican corruption cases from indictments before November? But railroad a Democratic, popularly elected Alabamian Governor on bogus corruption charges while stealing his electoral victory? No problem.

The is no justice in this country today...only Republicans in judicial power tasked with covering up the crimes of Republicans and making sure Democrats can't win a election fairly.
