(Mayor) Bloomberg praises Obama on Gas Tax
Source: MSNBC

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg weighed in on the summer gas tax holiday, arguing "the last thing we need to do is encourage people to drive." He praised Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver (first time since congestion pricing died a predictable death in Albany) and Barack Obama for opposing "one of the dumbest ideas" he says he's ever heard.

4. He is expected to announce who he's endorsing for President soon
He's no SD, but it will be a slap in Hillary's face if the mayor of the largest city in her own state endorses the other guy.

6. This is a real issue and the panderers should be castigated ...
... for proposing such a transparent vote-buying scheme. We need leadership that focuses on effective policies, not effective politicking.

7. The gas tax cut is ridiculous on so many levels.
It's takes someone like Bloomberg to speak the truth.

9. I'm sure that it will at 3:00 in the morning...
Now if McDeath, HRC,or some polygamist said something about it then it would get some coverage.

But WTG Bloomberg! And it goes without saying that this is what makes Obama the most qualified candidate. I'm very proud of him :D

10. My Republican husband
was not happy about it, but he agreed with Obama and Bloomberg. He called it an asinine idea.

11. Sorry, but that's not encouraging people todrive but helping some people
meet their expenses. I love it when the rich snub their noses at a few dollars in the pockets of working men and women.
