Dems: Oakland County official accused of public sex act should resign

Local Democrats today are calling for the resignation of Oakland County Commissioner Kim Capello, who pleaded guilty Tuesday to misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure.

The charges stem from an April 18 incident, in which the 56-year-old Capello, a Novi Republican, was seen naked and engaged in a sex act with a 37-year-old woman outside a Novi condominium complex about 2 a.m. by a passerby who called authorities, according to the police report. Capello is to be sentenced June 3 and could face up to 93 days in jail.

The woman, who has not been charged, is not his wife. She lived in the Pennsylvania Avenue complex, according to the report.

“Rather than exposing our county to new job opportunities, Kim Capello has indecently exposed himself,” Mike McGuinness, chair of the Oakland County Democratic Party, wrote in an e-mail. “As a resident of Novi and chairman of the Oakland County Democratic Party I call upon Capello to do the right thing and resign from the Oakland County Commission. Obviously this is a difficult personal situation for Capello and his family. As a public official, however, Kim Capello has a responsibility to step aside when he’s no longer fit to serve.”

Back when the Big Dawg was King I got pissed at all the comments about the Repukes*, their "Family Values", and their screeching about returning the country back to its "values", just as soon as the Clenis was impeached. During that time I saw a post that had listed about 20 Repukes doing the nasty, and I started to collect stories on Repukes with as bad, and often worse, "moral values". It became a hobby, then a bit of an obsession. I now have over 1,000 names and stories, all of them Repukes doing something immoral or illegal. And I have hundreds more that need to be edited and added to the file, so many that I could work on it for several months.

* NOTE: There are no Democrats in my files. My objective was to find two-faced Repukes to throw back at my Reich-Wing friends that threw "values" at me as an argument for Republican government. If they want to find Democrats with the same faults, fine; let them do their own damn research. But good luck with that. Over the years I have been doing this I went out of my way to find party affiliation. I can tell you that I found an overwhelming number of Republicans vs. Democrats. You'd think it would be close, but it's not! It's NOT!

Oakland Commissioner arraigned for indecent exposure

Novi -- An Oakland County Commissioner is facing an indecent exposure charge, accused of being naked and engaged in sex on a city sidewalk last month, police said today.

Commissioner Kim Capello, R-Novi, appeared before Novi District Judge Dennis Powers today on the charge, a misdemeanor punishable by up to 93 days in jail and fines. Capello, 56, was released pending a June 3 sentencing date. He could not be reached for comment and his attorney did not return a call from The Detroit News.

Police had little to say of the April 18 incident, other than to confirm Capello, a former Novi councilman, and the woman had both been questioned about 2 a.m. by a police officer following a complaint by a resident of "two people in stages of undress" near the rear parking lot of The Post Bar on Main Street in Novi.

"The officer responded to the complaint and wrote up a report of indecent exposure which was reviewed by our city attorney," said Novi Deputy Chief Thomas Lindberg. "Both he and the woman, who lives nearby, were released pending further investigation."
