Rep. Kucinich Released From Hospital

WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich (news - web sites) was released Wednesday from a Cleveland-area hospital after being treated for a stomach flu.

The Ohio congressman checked into the hospital Monday morning for tests and was diagnosed with gastroenteritis, a severe stomach flu, possibly caused by food poisoning. :wtf:

1. Geez, I hope he is okay and healthy soon.

Whether from food, or from all that hand shaking, stomach flu is horrible.

How does a vegan get food poisoning? I had food poisoning once, but it was from eating garbage food from the dorm where I attended college. I was eating meat at that time too ... ????

I too am glad Dennis Kucinich is ok!! I just hope that he wasn't poisoned! :scared: for Dennis Kucinich - a fine American he is indeed! We need more like him. :D

8. Vegans can certainly get food poisioning

If vegetables are not properly washed you can get food poisioning. Remember a few years ago when school children were getting salmonella from strawberries? A lot of salad bars have removed alfalfa sprouts from their selection for the same reason. As someone doing the "rubber chicken" circuit, he probably is exposed to god knows what.

9. No, it can happen to anyone.

Kitchen may use same utensils for meat and vegetables, and there are other explantions.
