Is it just my imagination, or is Rick Scott's ego his own worst enemy?
It's fairly predictable that a crooked health care provider would found a fake grass roots political action committee called "Conservatives for Patients Rights," and fund millions of dollars worth of negative TV ads full of lies, half truths and distortions to try and stop healthcare reform. No surprise there. But what IS a surprise is when the crooked business man who's behind it INSISTS on being the spokesman himself! No...he's not content to do the standard "Harry and Louise" ad with actors pretending to be scared middle class, middle aged WASPS who are terrified that some radical Democrat will take all their money away and "re-distribute" it to the United Negro College Fund. No...he insists on putting his freaky mug front and center on the TV screen for everybody to see who's behind his astroturfed movement: the guy who BILKED Medicare out of BILLIONS. Yeah, that's real good publicity for the cause, there Scotty!
But that wasn't enough. Apparently not being able to stop health care reform was too much of a blow to his manhood, so he's got to run for the GOP gubernatorial nomination in Florida. Honestly, is there a STRAIGHT JACKET that's BIG enough for this guy's ego?
