President LBJ's youngest daughter hospitalized.

Luci Baines Johnson, the youngest daughter of former President Lyndon B. Johnson, is being treated at the Mayo Clinic for what doctors suspect is a rare autoimmune disorder that affects the nervous system, her personal physician said Saturday. . .

Youman said he and other doctors suspect Guillain-Barre syndrome, which affects the nerves that control movement and can cause paralysis.

3. It is a treatable disorder.
There is the possibility of at least managing the symptoms. A friend of mine had it and was able to lead a very active life for a long-time afterwards.

I wish Luci well.

13. I am a Guillain-Barre Survivor
I had it when I was 20 years old. It was terrible. I was completely paralyzed and on life support for 3 months. Then to a rehab to learn how to use everything all over again.
I wish her well this is a sudden dibilitating disease that some never recover fully from.

Much harder to get through this at that age. Recovery is very slow. Funny thing is most cases are reported in the month of April and May.
Mine came on in April as well.
