GOP Senate hopeful in Fla. is the Teflon candidate
Source: Associated Press

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Senate hopeful Marco Rubio, the new darling of the tea-party movement, finds himself caught up in a federal investigation into alleged credit-card abuses by top Florida Republicans.

Nonetheless, he's racking up endorsements and holding a double-digit lead in polls over Republican Gov. Charlie Crist.

Rubio won the backing Thursday of former Vice President Dick Cheney, a day after Rubio repaid Florida's Republican Party $2,417 for double-billed flights. It came the same week it was disclosed that the IRS was investigating Rubio's use of Republican Party credit cards for personal use.

Rubio blamed the expense on an accounting error he discovered after the first of several stories on the investigation appeared a few weeks ago in The Miami Herald and the St. Petersburg Times.

3. Rubio and Cheney...Two peas in a pod.
You got to admit that it is kind of ironic that on the day Rubio gets endorsed by the most corrupt and controversial politician since Nixon, he himself gets investigated.

8. That's an insult to Nixon
Cheney is far more corrupt that Tricky Dick. Hell he makes Nixon look like a pretty nice guy.

4. Why Would Rubio Use
An RNC Amex card for home improvements rather than his own card? It makes no sense to mix charges like this. At best this would be an interest free loan while he paid back the RNC (what was the time lapse anyway). Lastly, was this Amex card even issued in his name. I know there was one card in the name of a staffer that several people used, apparently to avoid identity, and racked up $3.4 million in charges. There should be no teflon from this sordid affair.

6. NO politician is Teflon. But some politicians are PROTECTED.
Protected by CorpoPravda. Saint Ronnie is often called Teflon but the simple fact is that CorpoPravda wouldn't hold him to account for any of the stupid and evil things he did, because he was the chosen one of CorpoPravda's owners and masters.

13. Democrats need to make sure he gets indicted for something!
If he's is involved in the latest GOP scandal, it shouldn't be too hard to find other cases where he has stolen public money while he was in the Florida house. Hope the Democrats are digging now.

Hard to be in the Senate and in prison at the same time!
