(Western Kentucky University ) ‘W’ Day supports Bush
Source: wku herald

Louisville senior Timothy Gilliam said that often, on college campuses, liberal students tend to protest and rally more than conservative students.

On Wednesday, Western’s College Republicans aimed to amplify the conservative voice through “W” Day.

It was created to preserve the legacy of President George W. Bush, said Gilliam, the “W” Day creator.

“With President Bush often getting dogged quite a bit in the media, and amongst younger people, I felt it was our duty to show that there is a fair number that support President Bush and appreciate what he did for our country,” he said.

Nashville senior Rachel King, public relations chair for the College Republicans, said Bush deserves respect, just like any other president.

“He did what he thought was best for our people, and I truly respect him for everything he did,” King said. “He had a hard presidency, and I think that he held himself with respect and honor.”

I do have a desire for a W day...the day when he and Cheney are brought into the Hague to answer for their crimes.

10. HERE ARE ONLY A FEW OF THE PLANNED EVENTS... please add as you learn about more
on W Day 2010....

1) easter egg hunt... W heard there was a nor'easter coming in, and went out to hide the eggs. other than ronald reagan, W is the only president stupid enough to be able to hide his own easter eggs

2) in honor of Ws response to 9/11, students will disperse to local elementary schools where they will sit in stunned silence for 20 minutes

3) all students who respect W will get together, with a double the expected turnout, a game of checkers will follow

4) to show respect for all of Ws leadership, a statue of dick cheney will be erected in the school undisclosed location

21. Oh, it'll be a fun-filled day of challenging games!
"Find the Exit" - Participants must choose between a baffling myriad of possible exit doors. Which ones will be locked and which will allow egress? (All prove to be locked.)

"Segue/Segway" - The player must choose between two difficult options: forming a smooth connection between two autonomous thoughts, or riding a challenging single-person vehicle without face-planting. Extra points to the player who can do both at the same time; extra points to anyone who can guess which word is French in origin.

"The Pretzel Maneuver" - Eat a fucking pretzel without nearly killing yourself, you fucking moron.

"The Mideast Challenge" - Players get to stare at a map of Asia for two hours and then choose the country it makes the most sense to invade; each player will eventually give up, shrug helplessly and point to Iraq.

- One popular activity is called "Turkey Guess." Students will be placed before two turkeys; one real, one fake like the one used as a Bush-visits-the-troops-on-Thanksgiving prop. If they guess incorrectly they must consume an entire plastic drumstick.

- "Wired For Sound" is also a popular pasttime. Students take turns getting miked as they stand before the podium and must repeat the nonsensical propaganda whispered in their earpieces.

- In honor of vice president Cheney, students will participate in "Go Fuck Yourself" -- a game which requires no explanation.

33. They should invite German Chancellor Merkel for attendees to participate in a ceremonial groping.
The school's med school (if it has one) should give a presentation to show their gynecologists' love with women across the country.

A portion of the program can be devoted to searching for WMDs around the campus. (Probably won't find any at WKU either.)

Souvenir bullhorns and codpieces will be available at vendors across campus.

28. How to celebrate "W Day"
1) Accuse members of a neighboring dorm of housing nuclear/chemical/biological weapons, then invade that dorm in the middle of the night, kill everyone you can find, then burn the building to the ground.

2) Waterboard members of the dorm you attacked until they sign statements saying your actions were justified.

3) Give large tuition refunds to the richest 1% of students on campus.

4) Outlaw all birth control on campus.

5) Make sure that the campus radio, TV and newspaper are run only by right-wing hacks, and pay stipends from student fees to columnists to praise right-wing policies.

6) Tap the phone lines of students you don't like.

7) Accuse anyone of skin darker than yours (unless the result of a tanning salon, or John Boehner skin product) of terrorism. Lock these people up without trial and don't forget to torture them (just remember to call it "harsh education").

8) Defund all science curriculums and refuse to grant course credit for science classes.

9) Drill every square inch of the campus for oil.

10) Bar admission to students with an IQ greater than 90 and/or an SAT score greater than 600.
