Sarah Palin backs Carly Fiorina for Senate

LOS ANGELES — Sarah Palin endorsed Republican Carly Fiorina for U.S. Senate on Thursday, a potential boost for the former Hewlett-Packard CEO and first-time candidate as she attempts to win over conservative voters before the June 8 primary.

"Carly is the Commonsense Conservative that California needs and our country could sure use in these trying times," Palin, the 2008 vice presidential nominee and former Alaska governor, said in a news release distributed by Fiorina's campaign.

Fiorina is in a tough three-way race against former Silicon Valley Congressman Tom Campbell and conservative Assemblyman Chuck DeVore of Orange County. Campbell has maintained a steady lead since jumping into the race in January.

HA! Yet ANOTHER reason not to vote for Fiorina, California voters! Please keep Boxer and Feinstein or at least any other good Democrat. PLEASE!

5. I was thinking the same thing
I was thinking the same thing...this might be the kiss of death.

I do wonder if politicians get a bit "full" of themselves by riding in on a white horse to anoint someone.

13. But Palin also endorsed Scott Brown.
Then again, Scott Brown was the wake-up call from our, "They can't be THAT stupid" complacency.

15. Yup, she did.
That race was as much lost by the lackluster campaign by the Dem (whose name I have forgotten) as it was won by that endorsement.

18. Martha Coakley.
She's a wonderful, wonderful attorney general for MA, and she has obscene amounts of ambition and absolutely no idea how to run a campaign.

22. ...
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0110/31698.html

"Asked by Van Susteren to explain why she did not formally endorse Brown before the election, Palin praised Brown's campaign for relying on "shoe leather" campaigning instead of national surrogates.

"I would have" endorsed him, she said, "if he had requested it.""

4. I read that
and figured that it was the first real mistake Caribou Barbie's made with the reich wing. I've lurked around freeperville long enough to know that even they despise someone who has run two companies into the ground, and only took an interest in politics lately, not even bothering to vote before she felt she thought she was qualified to be the peoples' representative.

Big fail for Moosehunter.

8. she thinks Carly IS a teabagger, just like she thought Africa wasn't a continent

she also thinks she's showed 'leadership' by part-timing as governor and served as a 'reporter' by talking on Fox TV shows

she's one smart cookie, I hope Carly appreciates the love

doesn't matter.

Two failures in a pod. One quit and other fired.

36. hmm, this makes my primary decision tougher: Campbell or Fiorina...
Palin is a huge source of entertainment, and i can't wait to see what sort of insane commercials Fiorina will produce. however, underestimating Palin's "insane clown posse" isn't wholly a good idea. putting up Fiorina might be more of a risk than Campbell now -- so i might have to rethink my primary vote.
