AG Paid $60,000 to Anti-Gay Activist Who Hired Male Prostitute
George Rekers' "expert testimony" deemed "not credible" by judge

Controversial anti-gay activist Dr. George Rekers, who is now embroiled in his own gay controversy after admitting to hiring a gay male prostitute to carry his bags on a European trip, was paid by a team of lawyers headed by Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum in a court case defending Florida’s ban on gays adopting children.

Florida is the only state that bans all gays and lesbians from adopting children, though the ACLU is attempting to overturn the law.

Attorneys for McCollum paid Rekers at least $60,900 and perhaps as much as $87,000 for expert testimony in the appeal of the case. But in his testimony, Rekers claimed gays make inferior and even dangerous parents and that adopted kids living in gay households, even after 10 years, would be better off removed from the home and placed with straight parents.

I came to the conclusion long ago that to be a Republican, you must loathe yourself and humanity in general. Even more so if you are gay and Republican. Must be awful.

It seems logical to me to assume that those that make a lot of noise against gays have issues about their own sexuality. Most of us couldn't care less about who is zooming who but then we are secure in who we are and what floats our boat.

It was about an organization that exists in order to out anti-gay politicians who happen to be gay. I wish I could remember the name. I'll look for it when I get home tonight.

This makes me think about my father ... he was always severely and publicly criticizing my homosexual nephew, and when I became old enough to ask questions, I asked him why he was against gay marriage.

His answer?

If the law would permit gay marriage, almost every man would spontaneously marry a man, because ... that's much easier than marrying a woman, and then there would be no children anymore, so it would be the end of homo 'sapiens' ... .

Seems like he's not the only one seeing this from that perspective ... :-)

1) spontaneously gets married (what does that mean????)
