Ex-Iraq WMD Hunter(David kay) Fears U.S. Credibility Erosion.
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=4628381

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (Reuters) - The former chief U.S. weapons inspector in Iraq warned on Monday that the United States is in "grave danger" of destroying its credibility at home and abroad if it does not own up to its mistakes in Iraq.

"The cost of our mistakes ... with regard to the explanation of why we went to war in Iraq are far greater than Iraq itself," David Kay said in a speech at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

"We are in grave danger of having destroyed our credibility internationally and domestically with regard to warning about future events," he said. "The answer is to admit you were wrong, and what I find most disturbing around Washington ... is the belief ... you can never admit you're wrong."

The comments by Kay came as the White House sought to fend off accusations from its former anti-terrorism czar, Richard Clarke, who said President Bush ignored the al Qaeda threat before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and focused on Iraq rather than the Islamic militant group afterward.

1. Too late for this bunch. Hubris has taken over and only a change in
administration can help rehabilitate US reputation.

3. May I be the first to say:
No shit, Sherlock.

How is it that I knew that Iraq had no WMDs literally years before we went into Iraq, and the administration didn't?

5. our credibility is long past "erosion" stage
the "erosion" began with bush* backing out of Kyoto and other treaties, long before Iraq invasion

Iraq invasion turned it into a mudslide, further arrogance, bravado and hubris by bush* inc. has destroyed it

6. This is a first for D. Kay a.k.a. Ramrod
This was something I never expected from the UNSCOM cowboy nr. 1 - He is right but I can´t help looking for his angle, there must be something in this for him.

Guess my tag represents my view on this...

10. What is the meaning of disgruntled?
To make discontented, or dissatisfied? Unhappy? Which means that in my opinion if you quit your job because you are unhappy with policies, wages or working conditions or the fact that you spend too much time away from your family you are a disgruntled worker. That does'nt mean you wish your employer harm. What the Bush people are trying to imply is that workers that speak out against them and quit their jobs and speak out against them they wish to cause them (Bush) harm. They would also have you believe that if they just stay on the job and raise their complaints they would still have a job.
