Minnesota Public Radio A Mahtomedi drywall contractor has agreed to pay a group of Latino workers in a discrimination lawsuit settled in federal court.
Attorneys for the workers on Monday announced the settlement with Mulcahy Inc. and owner Gary Mulcahy, saying it was worth between $2.5 million and $6 million, depending on the timing of the payment.
An attorney for Mulcahy did not immediately return a message left seeking comment.
Latino workers first filed discrimination complaints with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. They then filed a class-action fair-pay lawsuit in 2008.
