Financial Adviser Starr Charged With Fraud by U.S.
Source: Business Week

May 27 (Bloomberg) -- Kenneth Ira Starr, a New York investment adviser who has represented actors including Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes, stole millions of dollars from heiress Rachel “Bunny” Mellon and other clients in a scheme to buy a $7.5 million apartment, prosecutors said.

Starr was arrested today in New York and accused of fraud in what federal prosecutors said was a $30 million scheme that involved socialites, celebrities and athletes. Charged at the same time was Andrew Stein, the former borough president of Manhattan and New York City Council president, who is accused of a tax crime and lying to investigators.

Starr, the manager of more than $700 million, “systematically defrauded his clients,” Robert Beranger, an agent with the Internal Revenue Service, said today in a criminal complaint in Manhattan federal court.

“He used his access to famous and powerful clients to burnish an image of trustworthiness, leading his clients to entrust him with management and control of their financial affairs,” sometimes assuming “total control” over their “financial lives,” Beranger said in court papers.

3. Wasn't "Bunny Mellon" the one who financed John Edwards Mistress
in the "COVER UP" with Hunter?

Bizarre. She's very old and very Democrat...Sad to see this whole thing. She seems to be very open to manipulation by the rich and want to be famous.

I also remember she's a big patron of Charlie Rose. Just Google the names and you'll come up with the connections.

I also heard "Bernie Madoff" was a Dem and lots of the folks he SWINDLED were DEMS who gave big to Liberal Causes...and they went down with Bernie.

What a tangled Web. It's either Corrupted Donors on the Left or Religious and Wall Street ZEALOTS on the RIGHT.

Our POLITICAL SYSTEM IS CORRUPTED BY BIG MONEY ON BOTH...the RIGHT & LEFT!

What are we "LITTLE PEOPLE" to do against this?

4. That's one expensive Manhattan closet.
I wonder if it got him to the 100 sq.ft mark. On the serious side, it does seem there's something about the name Ken Starr that creates this type of stuff.
