US arms hunter to tell Congress no Iraqi WMD found
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N29557308.htm

WASHINGTON, March 29 (Reuters) - The new chief U.S. weapons hunter in Iraq will tell lawmakers this week in his first congressional briefings that his teams have not found any banned arms, but it is too early to reach conclusions and the search will continue, U.S. officials said on Monday.

Charles Duelfer was appointed in January by the CIA to replace David Kay, who after stepping down as chief weapons hunter said he believed there were no large stockpiles of chemical or biological weapons in Iraq when the United States invaded in 2003.

That unleashed a flurry of accusations from critics that U.S. President George W. Bush and his administration exaggerated the threat from Iraq to gather support for war.

The question of whether Iraq had weapons of mass destruction has been a key issue leading up to the November presidential election, as Democrats seek to unseat Bush.

1. Now there's a shocker!
But wait, it gets better: a year later, it's still "too early to reach conclusions!"

3. It'll continue to be "too early to reach conclusions!"
until the Busheviks plant the weapons with chemical markers removed (I have little doubt that Bushevik Loyal Scientists, though you could scarcely call them that given what they do and what their purpose is, are working on it right now) in Iraq.

Wait for it. This is no small project and may not be doable. But if it is...hel-LO surprise WMD find!

18. He should be encouraged to carry it with him instead of a vest.
Then perhaps he could be encouraged to visit the CIA's practice range? :eyes:

4. Too early?
Really, when are people going to give up this charade. There never were any WMDs. The UN inspection team had made this pretty clear, but certainly there was no urgent danger that required the US to invade a soverign nation and plunge it into chaos.

The Repugs and the percentage of the US public that thinks there were WMDs needs to get a grip on reality, and face the facts. The US did a horrible thing, and thousands died because of it.

7. No fault or blame. When you're being told the sky is falling over and ove
When you're being told the sky is falling over and over, it would be crazy NOT to consider the possibility. At least now we know much more of the truth...and who the truth-tellers are.

6. Another one?
Sooner or later the morans will understand that all these Administration figures who are telling the same story are not stealth Democrats out to get the "War-President", but that Kay, O'Neill, Clarke and now this guy are all telling the TRUTH there were no WMDs in Iraq for at least the past decade, the link to al Qaeda is a LIE, Bush wanted to invade Iraq all along and doing so has under minded the so-called "War On Terror".

Pretty soon there will be so many of these guys even the right wing media hate machine won't be able to keep up with smearing them all.

10. I expect them to find WMD's pretty soon...
Of course they'll have planted them at just the crucial time. Just a real bad feeling I have. I just hope they get busted out for planting and do something stupid like plant them in a place thats been searched by the UN and David Kay.

12. bio and chem weapons DO NOT magically appear...
...from a vacuum. An infrastructure of labs and containment buildings staffed by skilled technicians and educated scientists are necessary to produce and store these materials.

The same is true for delivery systems.

It may be possible to bury the mythical truckload of botox in a sand dune. It is impossible to hide the infrastructure needed to create these weapons for over a year.

15. Impossible - without the Lizard People Cave-Dwellers of Mexico.
Perhaps the British military spelunkers made contact there and the WMDs will soon be found.

16. "too early to reach conclusions" but not "too early" to kill THOUSANDS!
What a detestible cabal of sociopaths we have in Washington! That 95% of America tolerates this shit is reprehensible. That 95% of us will deserve whatever happens. "Land of the free and home of the brave"?? Bullshit.
