Missouri seniors may lose prescription drug program
Source: st Louis Today

A showdown today between Missouri House and Senate budget negotiators could determine whether 226,000 elderly and disabled Missourians keep a state subsidy that helps them buy medicine.
On the chopping block is a program known as Missouri RX.
It pays half the cost of deductibles and co-payments for prescription drugs for low-income people enrolled in a Medicare Part D plan.

You will excuse my lack of empathy for states who did this to themselves and elected right wing douchebags.

9. I know I have disdain for my fellow citizens, but I doubt even this will
wake them up. Masses of people still don't get what's going on in this country. Americans just do not pay attention and are slow learners.

Many still seem to have no idea that how they vote (or don't) will have direct consequences on their lives in this country. They fall for the manipulative RW rhetoric and outright lies. Wave the flag, thump the bible, bash minority groups and you get their vote.

Most Americans are as dumb as a bag of rocks when it come to politics and vote for the wrong people for all of the wrong reasons. It is such a highly propagandized and manipulated society.

we blame them for listening to a medium that, ten years ago, was the main source for balanced news?

16. but the Republiscum DID NOT advertise themselves as out "to kill Grandma"
they lied & said they're priority was "job creation" because they knew that was on alot of people's minds. False advertising, being sociopathic doesn't help the Left.

20. Sure they did
It was in code...they referred to it as cutting the deficit...just like the Repukes at the federal level! Voters have the responsibility to educate themselves and make their own decisions based on facts...not on what Rush and Faux News tells them!

And you know what will happen in the next election cycle, they'll vote for the very same Repuke asshats again...even after "grandma dies" because she couldn't afford to pay for her medicines!

And why will they re-elect them, because the Repukes will point the finger at someone else and plead for another chance!

25. Fuck you too.
I voted Democratic. The State House district I live in is so heavily Democratic, the Republicans didn't bother to contest the race. You're a dick if you think that poor elderly people in my neighborhood deserve to have this program taken away because they somehow can't magically influence the voting behavior of people that live hundreds of miles away. Seriously. Fuck you.

15. I know. The dumb bastards who think EVERYONE should be
punished for the actions of others have my contempt, and my fond hope that in the very near future, they, too, can experience catastrophic loss and have others lecture them on how much they deserve it.

They must read Leviticus for amusement.

Our elections are rigged. How else can we here in Texas explain Rick Perry as governor with less than 33% of the vote. My sincerest sympathies to any DU'er living with the government they didn't vote for.

Silly me. I so misunderstood.
