Extension of recount deadline in Wisconsin Supreme Court to be sought
Source: Associated Press

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board will be asking for an extension in the deadline to complete the recount in the state Supreme Court race.

Board director Kevin Kennedy said Thursday that Dane County has requested a one-day extension to Monday's deadline. He says Waukesha County has also asked for a deadline extension and the board is seeking more details about how long it will need.

Kennedy says Milwaukee County, the state's largest, intends to complete its counting of the ballots on Friday.

JoAnne Kloppenburg asked for the recount after results of the April 5 election showed her about 7,300 votes behind incumbent Justice David Prosser.

1. It doesn't matter.
If nothing is being done to stop the OBVIOUS election fraud being perpetrated in Waukesha county, with opened bags, additional bags, and bags with the wrong serial number on them being counted as if they were valid.

If Kloppenberg won't do anything to stop this fraud in Waukesha, then there's no point in going on and she doesn't deserve to win.

4. Kloppenburg is being held back by the GAB & courts
GAB told the campaign that they would only accept a case on this if the margin between Kloppenburg and Prosser becomes much closer than it is now. We'll see if that sticks in the coming days...

6. Too late to edit
of course, if this is accurate - it is full of $#!% because it is obvious the final tally of the recount, as it is going, with all tainted ballot bags being counted, is not going to change by enough for this to become a court matter.

2. Not much chance left, is there?
Last I saw we had picked up a couple hundred votes.

Sounds like there aren't very many left to go.

3. I suppose that there is the possibility that Kloppenburg could constest the results in court

5. She may try. Here is the latest message from her campaign
Dear Friends,
As of the end of the day tomorrow, Waukesha County is expected to be the only County that has not completed the recount.

The recount has uncovered significant issues in ballot security, especially in Waukesha but elsewhere as well: bags of ballots unsealed, a pile of ballots in a clerk's office, ballot bag seal numbers that do not match the inspectors' logs.

David Prosser's campaign has called these kinds of anomalies "small errors."

They aren't small errors. As a volunteer in Waukesha put it, the integrity of the ballot count is only as good as the integrity of the condition of the bags. As more anomalies are discovered, the importance of this recount becomes even clearer. Here is a telling incident as reported by WisPolitics:

"A Prosser observer echoed the hope that the recount would reveal best practices from some communities that could be standardized, and said she is now inspired to become a poll worker. But a Prosser leader scolded her for talking to the media and she asked that her name not be used."

In her announcement requesting the recount, JoAnne noted that Wisconsin residents need to have confidence that elections are fair, that every vote counts and is counted accurately.

We need your help to make sure the Kloppenburg campaign continues to have the person-power and financial resources to participate vigorously in this recount.

To volunteer as an observer in Waukesha (Monday and ongoing) sign up at www.kloppenburgforjustice.com .

This recount is not free. We have significant costs including attorneys, staff, office space and supplies. To donate, visit www.kloppenburgforjustice.com or mail a check to Kloppenburg for Justice, P.O. Box 5464, Madison, WI 53705. Your contribution of $100, $50, $25 or whatever you can afford will help. There is no limit on contributions for the recount. Corporate contributions are prohibited.

Thanks for all you are doing.
