Abortion measure clears Round 1

LINCOLN — A bill to block the use of telemedicine for drug-induced abortions in Nebraska appears headed to approval in the State Legislature.

On a 34-9 vote Tuesday afternoon, state lawmakers gave first-round approval to LB 521.

Two rounds of debate remain, but it appears legislative approval is certain. The bill would require the signature of Gov. Dave Heineman, a pro-life Republican.

LB 521 is aimed at preventing Planned Parenthood of the Heartland from replicating an Iowa program in Nebraska.

2. Attended NM's ACLU's annual membership mtg last Saturday

A panel included the head of NM's Planned Parenthood. We were able to talk, connect, exchange info so we can work together. You are right to sound the alarm.

3. Some Dem needs to attach 2 this a mandatory background check if viagra

is requested; a background check to see if the guy is married, also to see if he's a sex offender.
