Pakistani officials: US drone strike kills 5
Source: AP (via HuffPo)

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — U.S. missiles killed at least five alleged militants Thursday in a tribal region along the Afghan border – the third such attack since the U.S. killing of Osama bin Laden, Pakistani intelligence officials said.

The strike is evidence that the U.S. is not letting up on cross-border drone strikes into Pakistan despite Pakistani officials' complaints that the United States violated its sovereignty by killing bin Laden on its soil. Even before bin Laden's death, the drone strikes have been the source of increasing tension in the now severely strained U.S.-Pakistan relationship.

Two officials said two drone-fired missiles hit a vehicle in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, an al-Qaida and Taliban stronghold that has been subject to frequent missile attacks. Militants often use the area to cross into Afghanistan where many are involved in fighting U.S., NATO and Afghan forces.

The two officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

3. "Alleged Militants".. is that like women and children walking to market?
IF obama keeps this up he is going to lead us into WW-III. I can't believe the Dems are buying into this new war.

Mark my words.. the time is right for another false-flag attack that they will blame on Pakistan. They will wave the flag, thump the Bible and fire up the patriotism machine on the MSM, send in (more) troops.

The Repukes want this war and Mr. Obama is doing everything he can to accomodate them.

5. Someone needs to manufacture an anti-Drone weapon
fairly urgently.

These bloody things seem to wander around shooting whoever they like with total impunity.

6. They do, there called SAMS.
Or you could build your own drone and take out the operators of the other persons drone. Wait...isn't that called war?
