Omaha World HeraldLINCOLN -- Gov. Dave Heineman said Monday he would veto the proposed revisions to the Commission of Industrial Relations if the legislative bill reached his desk in its current form.
It's unusual for the governor to signal a veto in advance of a bill's passage. But he said he wanted to be "crystal clear" about Legislative Bill 397, which is currently being considered in the Nebraska Legislature.

Here is the plan. Heritage Foundation, Platte Institute Ne., the Tea Party, the Chamber of Commerce, and two R US Senate candidates in Ne. will be passing petitions in Ne. They want to end the CIR and my right to be in a public union. They will put it on the Fall general election in 2012. I already can't strike like most states. They keep purposely using incorrect info that shows public service unions are overpaid. I'm sure you know in the current climate and the fact I'm in Ne. means my right to be in a union will probably end during December 2012 when our current contract expires.
