Police Mace JPMorgan Chase Protesters


WASHINGTON -- Police maced several elderly protesters Tuesday at JPMorgan Chase's annual shareholder meeting in Columbus, Ohio, according to activists present at the event.

Hundreds of people from dozens of community organizing groups swarmed the Tuesday meeting to demand the company overhaul its widely criticized foreclosure policies. JPMorgan Chase has improperly broken into the homes of its borrowers in order to pursue foreclosures and has been accused of robo-signing thousands of key foreclosure documents. Federal regulators slapped the company with a consent order over foreclosure problems earlier this year, and the federal government is currently contemplating filing charges that the company defrauded taxpayers with its foreclosure policies on government-backed loans.

"There must have been 10 police for every banker," Goehl told HuffPost. "JPMorgan Chase, they don't only own the government. They own the Columbus police department."

The ultra-rich are all mentally ill imho. Unless they make their money by accident while doing something they enjoy like writing or making music. People who spend their whole lives trying to bleed others dry are a sick and twisted bunch, so it is no wonder they turn their pitt bulls on old folks.

Jesus... nonsense. Protesting seems to be violent, alright. Mainly, for the ones that try to do it peacefully in front of "trigger-happy" security and police officers.

"Ohio has a long history of murder and violence against its own citizens of youth or age, and this is another dark day in that history. From Kent State to JPMorganChase, anyone involved in law enforcement in Ohio should hang their head in shame, and they should be tried for organized criminal activity. Rest assured that any power or persuasion I have to convince any group of individual to not spend money in Ohio will be time well spent.

Shame. This department is a disgrace to the idea of protection of the public. It's a bought and paid for private goon squad. I hope your payoffs are substantial, and that you get everything you've got coming, and quickly."
