Annandale minister's controversial prayer tangles time-crunched Legislature
Source: St. Cloud Times

ST. PAUL — The top House Republican asked forgiveness from fellow legislators today, after the founder of an Annandale ministry opened the morning’s House session with an incendiary prayer that incorrectly suggested President Barack Obama is not Christian.

Bradlee Dean, a radio host, rock drummer and self-described minister, delivered the prayer. Dean, who spoke to a tea party group in St. Cloud earlier this week, has spoken approvingly of executing gays and lesbians, among other controversial remarks.

Dean’s appearance came as House members could vote at any time on a constitutional amendment to allow voters to ban same-sex marriage.

One GOP legislator said he wasn’t sure if the uproar over Dean’s prayer could affect the timing of a House vote on the amendment.

1. "(He)...has spoken approvingly of executing gays and lesbians, among other controversial remarks."
Why would they ever expect such a "self-described minister" might say something incendiary? What (other than his history, personality, and stated objectives) would ever give them such a belief?

2. WTF?
How can someone even say they are a man of god and support the execution of human beings for no reason at all? And on top of that, the legislature knew this and still allowed him to speak..they all should be voted out

5. There's more than a touch of insanity in these people
Unfortunately they've been around voiding their shit through their mouths long enough that people are beginning to think they're normal.

6. I love how newspapers use the word "controversial"

As if there is some "controversy" of merit in relation to it.
