AP Exclusive: Former Palin aide pens tell-all, paints unflattering picture of ex-AK governor
Source: Associated Press

JUNEAU, Alaska — A former member of Sarah Palin’s inner circle has written a scathing tell-all, saying Palin was ready to quit as governor months before she actually resigned and was eager to leave office when more lucrative opportunities came around.

“In 2009 I had the sense if she made it to the White House and I had stayed silent, I could never forgive myself,” Frank Bailey told The Associated Press.

Palin’s attorney did not respond to multiple requests for comment for this story.

“Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin: A Memoir of Our Tumultuous Years” is due out Tuesday and based on tens of thousands of emails that Bailey said he kept during his time with Palin. It began with working on her 2006 gubernatorial campaign and continued through her failed run for vice president in 2008 and her brief stint as governor.

7. I pledge allegiance to Lady Blah-Blah,
And the insanity for which she stands,
One moron, way too visible, next to Todd,
With liberty and justice for the Tea Party.

10. conscience my ass
These former aides have no more conscience than Palin, cut from the same cloth.

But now there's an opportunity to cash in.

Grab it while you can.

:hi:

11. Easy solution to that...

...bury the Mz Palin books under the Hillary books, the right wingers will never touch the Hillary books, thus never finding the Mz Palin books. I do that for shits and giggles at Walmart, Costco, Sam's. A few times I have gotten some dirty looks, but it's all in good fun!

18. No, Distribute At Evangelical Churches, They Need To Read It.
The author of this book, Frank Bailey, was a naive, trusting, evangelical Christian when he "fell in love" with Sarah Palin and put his life and soul into working for her. We want conservatives and other trusting Christians to read this book and understand how a good man was betrayed by the appearance of Palin "as a good Christian lady" when the reality of her acts and words were anything but Christian.

Bailey was an original "Palinbot" and his story needs to get out to others who, like him, might be hoodwinked by the "Reagan in a Skirt". Rather than bury copies of the book under Clinton books to hide them at Costco, we should buy them by the dozens and give them out free at Christian churches. They need to read it

5. No reality-based book is going to affect the devotion of her acolytes.
No factual book, no matter how accurate, true, and well written is gong to change a palin fan's beliefs.

6. Hey, I'm just happy to have material against her
just in case she's really delusional enough to think she can jump in and win the Repug primary - or even better, to be used against her if she (oh, how I wish) were to get the nomination.

Bachman and Palin could never win, so of course I want them to be the candidates for Repug. Huntsman is more scary because he's not so obviously batship crazy as the above 2.

17. Bailey's "Blind Allegiance" Is Important for Voters to Read.
More than a "tell-all" books about the lies, arrogance and illegalities of Palin in her rise to celebrity. Bailey was with her when she first began to run in the primaries against Alaska's Republican governor, Frank Murkowski, until she quit the governorship half-way through to seek further fame and fortune. It is the chronicle of a naive, religious and previously non-political conservative idealist, who believed Palin was a real reformer, genuinely committed to improving Alaska's corrupt government. It details Bailey's moral descent into that of a dirty political operative, doing all the things that he had initially despised, at the behest of his "Reagan in a Skirt" idol, Sarah Palin.

In the end, Bailey's conscience re-surfaces,he abandons his nefarious political deeds, and comes to believe that he must reveal what he has learned about Palin and her real priorities, not good government but good publicity. Bailey fears, and not without good reason, that she might be able to hoodwink enough other citizens into voting for her in a presidential contest.

This book is an important moral study, not only of the Queen of Lies, but for all of us who have been deceived into putting our time, energy and soul into supporting a candidate who runs on her/his pretty face and glittering words. We need to keep the phrase: "Show me what you have done and I'll tell you what you believe", in mind as we consider who should be elected to political office.

This book is a good read, in addition to being beautifully written/edited by Ken Morris and Jeanne Devon. Devon, long a critical commenter on Palin in her blog, "Mudflats" has, along with fellow Palin critic, Ken Morris, produced an excellent, important book.

19. I'd tend to agree after seeing him with Lawrence last night
He didn't seem anywhere manipulative enough to be as genuinely conscience-stricken as he appeared to be and not mean it. The guy seemed genuinely tormented and remorseful about his part in enabling Caribou Barbie's actions and craziness.

For now, I will give him the benefit of the doubt as I have no reason not to. Sometimes people do see the error of their ways or have an attack of conscience.
