Texas governor will consider running for president
By APRIL CASTRO

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry, the longest serving chief executive in the state's history and a politician who has never lost an election, said Friday he will consider seeking the Republican nomination for president.

The outspoken conservative, who for months said he wasn't interesting in running for the White House, said he will decide whether to enter the race after the Texas Legislature adjourns Monday.

Perry has been the subject of speculation as some Republicans lamented the slate of GOP candidates planning to challenge President Barack Obama. When asked about the race before Friday, Perry had said repeatedly he was focused on the state's legislative session and not the 2012 presidential race.

Asked once again on Friday if he'd consider a run, Perry said: "I'm going to think about it."

5. Ask a Silly Question...
You get a silly answer.

If some idiot with a press card and a microphone asked me if I am going to run for president, all I can think of to say would be: "Why the hell not?"

6. Texas governor says he might run for president
Source: Reuters

(Reuters) - Texas Governor Rick Perry said on Friday that he will weigh a run for the Republican nomination for president.

"I'm going to think about it," Perry told reporters after he signed a bill requiring Texans to show photo identification to vote.

That's a change from Perry's earlier insistence that he would not try for the nomination to face Democratic President Barack Obama in the November 2012 election.

If he decided to run, Perry would join a Republican field that many in the party regard as lacking a star candidate.

yeah...maybe we can finally get rid of him by pawning him off on the rest of the country.....however in retrospect that didn't work so well when we finally got rid of Bush and Turd Blossom.

Hours before the start of a major summer holiday.

22. Yes, The Corporate Media Will Give Him A Free Pass On His Pro-Secession Talk
I guess Republicans in 2012 will say that instead of America First, it is a winning message to say that we are taking your Medicare, so you are on your own.

Running for President of Texas?
Go for it Rick.

The previous
President from Texas gave us, 9/11
2, 3, or 4 Wars (hard to keep track)
a Worldwide Financial Crash, the
bursting Housing Bubble, Massive
amounts of Treasury $'s for Faith
Based friends of the President,
$2 or $3 trillion budget deficits,
Corporate Welfare to the tune of
$1 Trillion to Big Pharma, the Patriot
Act, A Surveillance camera on every
street corner, An end to the Space
Shuttle with no replacement in sight,
etc, etc, the list of his achievements
to long to list here.

Really Texas, you have been more than
generous with Presidents. Keep Rick
at Home. The rest of the Nation, and
the World will survive without him.

24. Tea Baggers will never elect a Bilderburger
They don't trust him, and if Debra Medina didn't open up her mouth about 9/11, she would have beat him in the TX primary last year.

28. I hope Perry is the nominee!
Then Obama could coast to victory in 2012. He could show up at a rally, cough twice, and say "My opponent is Rick Perry. Thank you all! Good night!"
Easiest campaign ever.
